Andrea Fraser (critica institucional)

La obra de Andrea Fraser cítrica y el cuestiona del papel del artista y su relación con las instituciones y el mercado, al igual que reflexiona acerca de la “adulación y egocentrismo” que caracteriza tanto a artistas como a curadores, galeristas y publico. Sus obras son mayoritariamente performances en donde utiliza su propio cuerpo y el lenguaje como herramientas para la crítica del arte contemporáneo como fetichista y legitimado por pomposos discursos. Es también muy interesante el cuestionamiento que hace al papel del artista como aquel que presta servicios a las instituciones culturales.
